I want to go completely off the grid, can I do that?

Going off the grid is very achievable and we have done this for individual houses, businesses and whole countries. If your house is already connected to the grid it currently it probably does not make economic sense to disconnect from the grid, however we can still design and install an off-grid system if you want us to.

If you are building a new house or have an existing house and it is a long way from services it often make sense to invest in an off-grid system. Off-grid systems are complex so make sure you work with someone who knows what they are doing. We have more information specific to off-grid solar power systems which will help you understand how we size and design your system.

PowerSmart has installed off-grid systems throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific. Specifically Tuvalu, Northern Cooks, Tokelau and Craters of the Moon are all off-grid solar electricity installation. We love building off-grid systems so give us a call and we can design and price one up for you.
