Sylvia Park Solar Electricity system has just had it's 1st Birthday, with a short article appearing in Stuff to celebrate the milestone. Great to see that the panels are getting their annual clean. Kiwi Property who owns Sylvia Park is listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange and so the financial performance of the system is very closely scrutinized. National Facilities Manager for Kiwi Property Jason Happy reported in the article that the system was accounting for 20% of the baseload of Sylvia Park and had exceeded their expectations.
Feedback that makes the whole PowerSmart Team very happy.
"We're a commercial organisation and we had an expectation of a commercial return and we're very pleased to say the output - and therefore commercial return - has exceeded that. Solar is certainly a commercial gain, it makes our buildings attractive to occupy and lessens the risks around regulatory changes of market changes that make the building obsolete."
